EngenuitySC is facilitating a community-wide collaborative focused on the development and implementation of strategies to increase K-12 entrepreneurship education across the Columbia area. As a champion for growing Columbia's knowledge economy, EngenuitySC is bringing together K-12 entrepreneurship organizations and providers to build a stronger network and platform for collaboration that will propel them forward to create greater impact in preparing today's students for success and eventual leadership in the new global marketplace.

The following activities are included under this initiative:

K-12 Youth Entrepreneurship Round Table
A quarterly series to bring together educators, program providers, and business leaders to share ideas and spark collaboration

Summer BizCamp
In partnership with YESCarolina, EngenuitySC sponsors summer camps for middle school students to provide an engaging, hands-on learning environment built around the concepts of entrepreneurship.

YESCarolina Midlands Chapter
EngenuitySC is a participant on the newly launched YESCarolina Midlands Chapter in preparing today's students for success and eventual leadership in the new global marketplace.

The overarching goals of the initiative include:

• Creating a mechanism for sharing best practices for K-12 entrepreneurship education
• Creating mechanisms to connect educators and youth to local entrepreneurial resources, businesses, and opportunities
• Raising awareness in the community and among education institutions about the importance and need of youth entrepreneurship education
• Increasing the number of programs promoting entrepreneurship in our schools and after-school programs
