Fostering support for higher education, research universities, and institutions builds a pipeline of discovery and knowledge creation leading to innovation, R&D investments, and commercial opportunities.  In addition, higher education institutions produce highly-skilled, well-educated and creative workers that can support and build a vibrant economy.

Entrepreneurship

Through an entrepreneurial environment, ideas and innovations developed at our research universities and in the private sector are taken through the commercialization process to generate products, services and jobs within the region.  Entrepreneurship is the single greatest opportunity region’s have to create wealth and build an organic economic model for prosperity.

Talent

Knowledge-based industries and young professionals will be the most important drivers of future economic growth.  By fostering an open, creative and energetic environment, EngenuitySC will help expand the pipeline of skilled talent in our region by attracting and retaining innovators, educated young professionals and entrepreneurs to the Columbia area.  This will further create and enhance our efforts to build a vibrant, knowledge-based economy in the region.
